The Plastic Surgery Hall of Fame!

Saturday, January 31st, 2009

As we talked about at the end of last year, 2008 was a great year for plastic surgery. But there’s plenty more where that came from – past and future!

Having said that, The Hollywood Gossip is pleased to announce its inaugural Celebrity Plastic Surgery Hall of Fame class of nine worthy inductees.

They aren’t the first, nor will they be the last, to go under the knife and alter their looks unnecessarily. But they most certainly are a deserving bunch.

Without further ado, let’s look at the Hall of Famers

Heidi Montag Plastic Surgery

The Hills’ Heidi Montag was a cute girl, but decided that the stereotypical Hollywood bleach-blond tramp look worked better. At least she proudly admits it!

Brittany Murphy Plastic Surgery

Nice lips, Brittany Murphy. They really look better now that they’ve quadrupled in size. Makes you wonder why more girls don’t have this done as soon as they turn 12.

Jessica Simpson Plastic Surgery Pictures

Same with Jessica Simpson. No wonder Tony Romo’s cheating on her.

Tara Reid Plastic Surgery

There was a time in which Tara Reid was kind of cute. Then she became kind of addicted to unnecessary surgery, and kind of a skank. Okay, we lied. A HUGE skank.

Ashley Tisdale Plastic Surgery

High School Musical? More like High School Surgical! Sharpay? More like sharp knife!

Fergie Plastic Surgery

Fergie Ferg doesn’t just pee in her pants on stage – she gets her chin worked on before she even goes out there! Well, that’s the rumor anyway. What do you think?

Bruce Jenner Plastic Surgery

Bruce Jenner proves that even Olympic gold medalists need botox, rhinoplasties and God knows what else when they’re middle aged. We blame the krazy Kardashians.

Courtney Love Plastic Surgery

Courtney Love is very possibly the scariest human to have ever lived.

Michael Jackson Plastic Surgery

Okay, we take that back.

Only SMS Shayari

Mat Dekh Koi Insaan Kitna Gunhegaar Hai,
Ye Dekh Ki Woh Tere Saath Waffadar Kitna Hai.
Ye Mat Dekh Ki Usko Kisse Nafrat Kitni Hai,
Yeh Dekh Ki Usey Tujhse Pyar Kitna Hai

Chand Per Daag Hone Se
Chand Ka Takaluff Nahi Mit Jata
Chand Khud Mein Chand Hai
Usse Gawahon Ki Zarurat Nahi.

Teri Aainkhon Mein Doob Jane Ko Jee Chahta Hai
Par Tumhe Gussa Bohat Aata Hai
Ager Tumne Gusse Mein Aankhein Band Ker Li
To Tairana Ks Kambakht Ko Aata Hai.

Tera Saath Nahi Par
Sansoon Mai Teri Sans Baki Hai
Tu Nahi Par Dil Mai Teri Yaad Baki Hai
Yeh Dil Toota Tha Teri Bewafaii Se
Teri Bewafaii Tho Nahi Par
Us Ka Diya Dard Baki Hai

Zindagi To Hum Bhi Jee Rahe The,
Taqdeer Humari Kharab Nikli
Tajmahal Hum Bhi Bana Sakte The,
Mumtaz Humari Bewafa Nikli

Pyaar Ke Jaam Ko Aise Na Piyo Ke
Adha Piya Aur Adha Chor Diya
Yaron Yeh Pyaar Hai Pyaar
Nahin Koi Vim Bar
Jo Thora Sa Lagaya Aur Bas Hogaya

Intaqamm Vo Mujhay Dard se Vafa Dey Jaye Ga
Zakham Layker Ik Dard-E-Dil Aashna Dey Jaye Ga
Kaisa Nadim Hua Hoon Bura Keh Ker Ussey
Kya Khaber Thee Jaatey Jaatey Vo Dua Dey Jaye Ga

Kar Diya Izhare-Ishq Hamne Telephone Par,
Laakh Rupaye Ki Bat Thi,
Do Rupaye Main Ho Gayee (Wah Wah)

Karoge Yaad Ek Din Tum Dosti Ke Zamane Ko
Chale Jayeinge Jab Hum Kabhi Na Wapas Aane Ko
Kabhi Kisi Mefil Mein Chere Ga Jab Koi Hamara Naam
Chale Jaoge Tum Bhi Ksi Kone Mein Aansoo Bahane Ko

Mujhe Kisi Se Mohabbat Nahi Tere Siva
Mujhe Kisi Ki Jarurat Nahi Tere Siva
Mere Dil Ko Thi Talash Jiski Barso Se
Kisi Ke Pass Wo Surat Nahi Tere Siva

B.O. update: ‘Luck By Chance’ & ‘Victory’ start slow

Saturday, January 31st, 2009

The two new releases, LUCK BY CHANCE and VICTORY, had a slow start on Friday in India. What comes as a surprise is the fact that the two films were well-publicized prior to their release. LUCK BY CHANCE started on a 25% – 30% note at plexes, while VICTORY was 10% to 20% at several screens.

LUCK BY CHANCE has an advantage of a strong word of mouth and glowing reviews by the English media in India, which should help the film consolidate its position over the weekend. The exhibitors are hopeful that the business should pick up from Friday evening onwards.

VICTORY isn’t carrying positive reports and the word of mouth is strictly average/below average. Also, the reviews are far from flattering and that makes its survival chances remote, unless a miracle occurs.

10 Golden Lessons from Albert Einstein

Saturday, January 31st, 2009

1. A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new.

Most people don’t try new things because of their fear of failure. Failing is not something to be afraid of. It is often the losers who learn more about winning than the winners. Our mistakes always give us opportunities to learn and grow.

2. Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in school.

30 years from now, you won’t possibly remember what chapters you had in your science book; you’d only remember what you learn on your way. Life lessons stay with you forever. Real education starts from within.

3. I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.

When you reflect on how far we humans have come from the prehistoric caves to mind-blowing technological advancements, you would feel the power of imagination. What we have now was built from the imagination of our forefathers. What we will have in future will be built from our imagination.

4. The secret to creativity is knowing how to hide your sources.

Creativity and uniqueness often depends on how well you hide your sources. You can get inspired and influenced by other great people; but when you are on stage with the whole world watching, you must become a unique, individual force that learnt different values from different people.

5. The value of a man should be seen in what he gives and not in what he is able to receive. Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value.

If you think of all the top people in the world, they would have added something of value to the world. You must give in order to take. When your purpose is contributing or adding value to the world, you will be elevated to a higher level of living.

6. There are two ways to live: you can live as if nothing is a miracle; you can live as if everything is a miracle.

When nothing is a miracle, you gain the power of doing anything you want and you have no limits. And when everything is a miracle, you stop by to appreciate even the smallest of beautiful things in the world. Thinking both ways will give you a productive and happy life.

7. When I examine myself and my methods of thought, I come to the conclusion that the gift of fantasy has meant more to me than any talent for abstract, positive thinking.

Dreaming about all the great things that you can achieve is the key to a life filled with positivity. Let your imagination run amuck and create the world that you would wish to be in.

8. In order to be an immaculate member of a flock of sheep, one must above all be a sheep oneself.

If you want to become a very successful entrepreneur, you must start a business right away. Wishing to become one, but fearing the consequences will not help. The same applies to everything – in order to win a game, one must above all play the game.

9. You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else.

Learn the rules of your game and start playing it best. Keep competing like your life depended on it. And after a while you will have no one else but you to compete against. At that point, better your best.

10. The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing.

Intelligent people ask. Keep questioning yourself and others to find solutions. This will help gain knowledge and analyze your growth in all walks of life.

Wishing Preity Zinta a very happy Birthday

In the year 1998, all the manufacturers of effervescent products went on a mass strike against Bollywood. The reason? It was because, it was discovered that Bollywood had got someone who could give the best of effervescent product a huge inferiority complex. She was none other than the super ‘bubbly’ Preity Zinta, who also happens to be today’s Birthday girl and whose mere smile is reason enough for the sunflowers to bloom, fishes to swim and the breeze to blow!

Having made her debut with Mani Ratnam’s Dil Se, Preity Zinta shook the entire cinegoer crowd with her on-screen question rendition of ‘Are you a virgin?’ to none other than the ‘Baadshah’ of Bollywood…Shahrukh Khan, no less! What followed after Dil Se were films that were no less than hits, super hits and smash hits! A few examples of the same read as Soldier, Har Dil Jo Pyaar Karega, Mission Kashmir, Dil Chahta Hai, Koi Mil Gaya, Kal Ho Na Ho, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, Heroes etc…
