Aamir Khan’s father died at 79

MUMBAI: Tahir Hussain, noted Bollywood producer and father of Aamir Khan, died today following a massive cardiac arrest. He was 79 years old.

Hussain has contributed to Bollywood as an actor, writer, director and producer. He has acted in movies including Pyar Ka Mausam and Dil Deke Dekho. He has also produced blockbusters including Anamika, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke and Caravan.

With Tum Mere Ho Hussain made his directorial debut, where he directed his son Aamir Khan.

Aamir Khan, who was in Los Angeles, is flying back to India today. The funeral takes place tomorrow evening.
Hussian is survived by his wife, sons Aamir Khan and Faisal Khan and daughters Farhat and Nikhat.

Kareena who is currently working with Aamir in 3 Idiots is eager to work with Imran.

Sanjay Gadhvi who previously directed Imran in Kidnap is looking at the prospects of signing Bebo and Imran.

Kylie Minogue not interested in meeting SRK

While everybody is dying to meet King Khan SRK, international popstar Kylie Minogue who recently gave a short visit to India for shooting a song for Akki’s starrer Blue refused to meet SRK.

Kylie in an interview recently had revealed that she loved SRK’s
Om Shanti Om, SRK’s people got
in touch with her for a meeting but she refused.

A source says, “Kylie and her manager have ruffled quite a few feathers in Bollywood. After Kylie laid a condition that no visitor would be allowed on the sets while she was shooting, including the families of the co-actors, she meant even the Bollywood fraternity.

After reading an interview of Kylie, which mentioned Shah Rukh Khan’s Om Shanti Om as one of her favourite Bollywood films, Shah Rukh’s office got in touch with Kylie, expressing the superstar’s desire to meet her. However, Kylie flatly refused to meet Shah Rukh on the film sets. Kylie’s manager instead conveyed to Shah Rukh that the meeting could only happen at the completion party of the film, which happened last night. This is not the first time that Kylie has snubbed a Bollywood star. Earlier, even Anusha Dandekar, who had gone with Zayed Khan, was denied entry on the sets by Kylie’s security.”

Yashraj finally signs Salman Khan

Yashraj Movies have finally succeeded in striking a deal with hunk
Salman Khan after the latter last refused to do Chak De India for YRF.

A close friend of Sallu says, “Salman was the first actor to be approached for Chak De India! But while he loved the script he had suggested changes in the film’s climax. He wanted the final match of the hockey tournament be played between India and Pakistan.

He felt that then story would come full circle. But Adi didn’t budge and both parted ways amicably. Shah Rukh Khan was then signed on for the role. But Salman is now looking forward to the YRF project being written and directed by Victor (Acharya).”

Now Sallu miyan is part of YRF with the director of dud flick Tashan directing him.

A source says, “Vijay Krishna Acharya writer of the Dhoom series who made his debut last year with YRF’s Tashan is making his second film with YRF.

Salman Khan, R.Madhavan and Bhojpuri superstar Ravi Kishen are the male leads finalized for the same while the female leads are yet to be finalized. The film is supposedly a whacky action comedy that will go on floors in the second half of 2009.”
